Jazz Standards

Song Sheets

I have performed many genres of music but my real passion lies in the great jazz standards of the 20th century and you will no doubt notice that this is reflected in the content of my repertoire. As a musician it doesn’t seem to matter what genre you belong to, these classics can usually be adapted to fit your style – they will never be dated. A lot of them have such rich harmonies and great melodic content that I feel that it would be impossible to play them badly. Any pianist can play ‘Moonlight in Vermont’ – it just plays itself.

Here are some of the jazz standards that I play:

Someone to watch over me
Somewhere over the rainbow
Speak softly love
Stairway to the stars
Stars fell on Alabama
Stella by starlight
Stompin” at the Savoy
Stormy weather
Sweet Georgia Brown
Sweet Lorraine
Tea for two
Teach me tonight
That ole devil called love
That’s all
The Lady is a tramp
The Lambeth Walk
The Sheik of Araby
There’ll never be another you
There’s a small hotel

When You’re Smiling
When your lover has gone
Who’s Sorry Now
Willow weep for me
Wrap up your troubles in dreams
You are my hearts delight
You go to my head
You Made Me Love You

You Must Have Been a Beautiful Baby
You’d be so nice to come home to
You’ll Never Know

You’re Nobody ‘Till Somebody Loves You
