Performing as a Pianist in Bournemouth, Dorset
Hi, my name is Eugene Portman and I am available as a pianist in Bournemouth and all other areas of Dorset and UK. I am often hired as a wedding pianist, but I can provide music and entertainment for any party, barbecue or any function in a private home. I can also provide a disco service, which is ideal for those events where you would just like an hours dance music tagged on to the end of an evening.
From a Solo Pianist to a Jazz Band
Besides being a solo pianist, I can provide larger line ups right up to a five-piece jazz band. The full range of line-ups are as follows:
- Duo – piano and bass
- Trio – piano, bass, and drums
- Quartet – piano, bass, drums, and sax

The Music
I specialise in mellow jazz piano and my music usually sits well in any social occasion. Music with a ‘feel good’ factor is what I try to achieve. People hire me for quite a lot of cocktail parties, and the music I play (sometimes called ‘dinner jazz’) seems ideal for that sort of thing, but I do also play quite a lot of up tempo stuff. I also play music from many other genres including classical, pop, rock, latin, and even singalong.
