About
The Upper Reaches Hotel, Abingdon.
The Upper Reaches Hotel was built from Abingdon Abbey’s old corn mill which was originally on an island in the Thames. The original water wheel, which dates back to 1200, can still be seen in the Millwheel Restaurant. The Upper Reaches is ideal for visits to the 16th century Abingdon Abbey; (which is right next door); Blenheim and Oxford are both well within striking distance and if you fancy a spot of fishing - you won't even have to leave the grounds of the hotel.
Facilities
include the Millwheel Restaurant (complete with working waterwheel), a bar,
one lounge and river mooring. The hotel has 31 bedrooms with many of them are
overlooking the Thames. The hotel also has a large car park and is ideally situated
for a short walk to the town centre of Abingdon. The upper reaches hotel is
an ideal location for both business and leisure and offers superb dining facilities
in the Millwheel Restaurant.
