About Dartmouth House
Dartmouth
House is an important heritage building which was remodelled and refurbished
by Lord Revelstoke in the 1890s. Dartmouth House is a grand town mansion in
the Anglo-French style and is one of the most notable buildings in Mayfair.
The ESU (English Speaking Union) bought the property in 1926 and has been
graded as a Grade II* listed building.
Dartmouth House has a magnificent interior which includes marble fireplaces, walnut panelling, a fine French marble staircase, and a beautiful painted ceiling by Pierre Victor Galland.
Dartmouth
House has become a popular wedding venue and is also used for conferences, magazine
shoots, lectures and corporate entertaining. The House can be hired hired in
it's entireity or rooms can be hired individually. The Restaurant in the Revelstoke
Room is run by Leith's the caters. Leith's are the ESUs contract caterers and
are known for the superb quality of their cuisine. "Simply Better"
is their company motto and they take these words very seriously.
