Almost Ella is a unique jazz experience. This band has a vast repertoire that includes the music of Ella Fitzgerald, Nat King Cole, Frank Sinatra and right through the spectrum to include sensual Latin jazz songs, sung in their original language.

Almost Ella (previously known as Escobar) is lead by:

Bandleader and singer Brigitte Escobar is truly an international artist.
Her amazing vocal range and beauty has caused sensation all over Europe and Asia and was described in the Danish press as “dark and sexy with a cool, fascinating sensuality".

In last couple of years Brigitte Escobar performed not only at the UEFA cup final (2003), and semi final (2005) but was also invited to perform for World leader and UN Secretary, Kofi Annan who complemented Brigitte personally on her outstanding vocals.

Brigitte has has 20 years of performing experience ranging from numerous private and corporate functions throughout the UK to international jazz festivals and hotels. She has been the supporting act for, amongst others these Latin superstars: Celia Cruz, Buena Vista Social Club and the Afro Cuban All Stars and has enthralled audiences in countless of venues including: Park Lane Hotel, The Lowry, Bridgewater Hall, Wigan international jazz Festival, Manchester international jazz festival, Montmatre (Copenhagen), The Pearl (Reykjavik), EXPO ’92 (Seville) and Oriental Hotel, (Bangkok).
